Hello, and welcome to the Yamagawa Dojo website. Yamagawa is the head Dojo for Fudoshin in Victoria, Australia.
It is headed up by Darren Ball (Sensei) and is assisted by various Black Belt ranks. The Dojo has been running at it's current location at the Seaford Community Centre for just over two years now. Since 1982, we have been in various venues on the Mornington-Peninsula. | Dojo Address

What is fudoshin?
Fudoshin Ryu is the name of the system of Martial Arts training formed by Soke Robert Lawrence in 1968. It is a fusion of Judo, Jujutsu, Karate, Aikido and Weaponry training to form a complete system of combat and self-defence. We are not, what is commonly termed, an MMA (Mixed Martial Art) system or Freestyle, as we train in only the traditional aspects of each style. The best way to view Fudoshin is a well-balanced education in various traditional Japanese Martial Arts whereby each art is studied together in a syllabus rather than as seperate classes.
